Signage fees and application requirements depend on the type of signage, its dimensions, number of display faces, location and selected billing period. Review the information below before submitting your application.

01How is my signage fee calculated?

The applicable fee is determined using the approved fee schedule and the information provided in your application. Your confirmed amount will be shown before payment.

Signage category: The applicable rate may vary according to the approved category and type of signage.
Dimensions and area: The width, height and calculated display area are used when assessing the applicable fee.
Number of display faces: Each display face is assessed independently. Multi-face signage may have separate charges for each face.
Billing period: Applicants may choose monthly or annual billing. Monthly billing is selected by default.

Official fees vary according to the approved signage category, dimensions, display faces and billing period. Do not rely on unofficial estimates.

02What billing and payment rules apply?

Monthly or annual billing: You may select monthly or annual billing. Monthly billing is used by default unless annual billing is selected.
No partial payments: The required amount must be paid in full. Partial payments are not accepted.
Separate face assessment: Where signage has multiple display faces, each face is assessed independently.
Outstanding balances: An outstanding balance may prevent renewal until the required amount has been settled.

Available payment methods will be displayed when payment becomes due. Only use instructions presented through your authenticated Ibyapa account.

03What information and documents do I need before applying?

Provide complete and accurate information so that the City review team can assess your application.

Applicant information: Apply as an individual or an authorized organization representative. Organization applications require active representation authority.
Signage details: Provide the category, material, shape, dimensions and number of display faces.
Location information: Provide an accurate installation location. A UPI or property reference is required where signage is attached to a property.
Artwork and documents: Upload the proposed artwork or mock-up and the supporting documents required for the selected category.
Accurate dimensions: Provide the correct width and height for every display face. Ibyapa calculates the display area from these dimensions.

04How are applications reviewed and approved?

Review before a decision: Submitting an application does not mean it is approved. An authorized City Officer must review it and issue a decision.
Requested corrections: The reviewing officer may request corrections or additional information. Update the requested items and resubmit for continued review.
Status tracking: Use your application reference to follow submission, review, correction and decision updates.
Application-specific approval: Approval applies only to the reviewed application version and the signage information included in that version.

05What rules apply after approval?

Artwork changes: Changes to approved artwork or appearance must be reviewed and approved before they are authorized.
Ownership changes: Transferring ownership requires a formal request, review and approval. Management access does not transfer legal ownership.
Renewal and balances: Outstanding balances may prevent renewal. Settle all required obligations before requesting renewal.
Expiry grace period: A 15-day grace period applies after expiry. It does not remove outstanding obligations or replace the renewal requirement.
Accurate records: Signage details, location, ownership and approved artwork should remain consistent with the registered information.

06Which fees and requirements should I treat as official?

The final amount and applicable requirements are based on the approved City fee schedule and the information in your application.

Confirmed amounts: Where official fee values have not been published through Ibyapa, the platform will not present unofficial amounts as confirmed fees.
Current requirements: Rules may be updated when authorized policies change. The requirements displayed during your application are used to validate your submission.
